What kind of paints do you use?
Ms. Fancy Paints artists use only the highest quality paints and cosmetic-grade
FDA-compliant supplies.
How many faces can you paint per hour?
Usually 10-12 faces per hour.
What is the youngest age you can paint?
Our paints are gentle enough to be used on any age. If they are willing to be painted,
we are willing to try!
How is the paint removed?
We choose gentle cosmetic supplies that are easily removed with soap and water.
Is face painting safe/sanitary?
Ms. Fancy Paints employs a strict hygienic protocol. You will always find hand sanitizer, wipes and fresh water at our work station. We will not paint the face of anyone who appears to be sick, has an open cut or sore on their face, a runny nose/eyes or obvious illness. You are more likely to get sick from shaking hands or using public transit than from getting face painted.
How far in advance do I need to book my event?
All we can say for sure is that there is no way to predict availability. If your event is on a weekend, make the reservation as soon as you have chosen your date. There are times when we can accommodate a client at the very last minute and other dates that are completely booked months in advance.
Do you provide other entertainment (clowning, balloons, characters, magic)?
At this time, Ms. Fancy Paints is dedicated exclusively to providing the most impressive face and body art for your enjoyment.
Do you dress up (costume or clown)?
No. Our artists arrive at your event with beautifully painted faces, but not in clown make-up or costumes of any kind.
I’m expecting a lot of kids, but only want to book a face painter for a limited time, can you just do some quick cheek art?
When you hire a professional, you deserve professional-level results. We always put forth our best effort and will not compromise our reputation by doing fast, sloppy work. However, Ms. Fancy Paints offers an Express Designs alternative. This does not mean “quick cheek art,” as small does not necessarily mean faster. Many smaller designs require more detail than some broad strokes full-face designs, Ms. Fancy Paints has compiled a limited collection of our fastest designs that still deliver high impact.
